Mrs. Dennison

After nineteen years at Flower Mound Elementary, I retired in May 2007.  I taught first grade at Flower Mound for nine years, and then second grade for ten years.  Prior to that I taught kindergarten for four years at CCDC in Lewisville.  I also taught fourth grade in Virginia and Georgia and worked as a computer programmer for Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, Connecticut.

I love learning, trying new things, and challenging children.  I like when someone asks me a question for which I don't know the answer.  That makes me think and helps emphasize that education is a lifelong process of searching for answers and learning new things.  Hopefully through the years my students had as much fun as I did, were exposed to a vast array of different learning opportunities, and continue to be curious about using their many talents to explore our wonderful world.  There is always something new waiting to be discovered, and I know some of my students will be the ones to make those discoveries, both small and large, through the amazing adventure of learning.

Roger and I are excited about retirement in Hideaway, Texas.  I plan to do lots of quilting, volunteer work with our church, to read, to travel, and see where God is leading us in this new season of our lives.
