Flower Mound

Students were asked to write about an event in our community, share why they liked living here, and tell how our community is different from the community where their parents lived as a child. Each student created a brochure to persuade people to live in Flower Mound. Some of the crayon drawings are from our town pamphlets. All of these activities provided opportunities for the children to learn about our area and create interest in our community.

Rafael Community Event Flower Mound clean up day my famliy and friends got together to clean Flower Mound there was a contest to pick up the most trash we got ten bags of trash . When we were finished we got free lunch from Kroger .
My Mom's Community My mom's community was a desert in california there was no shoping malls. she had very little rain.
Living in Flower Mound I like living in Flower Mound becaues Flower Mound has good school.

Brittany EASTER EGG HUNT Last year I went to the Easter Egg Hunt. There were hundreds of egg. I filled up my basket with egg filled with toys and candy. I got to meet Mr. Bunny. I also played many games. I had lots of fun .
LIVING IN FLOWER MOUND I like Flower Mound because I have my best friend here.
MY MOM'S NEIGHBORHOOD When my mom was eight she had to walk school everyday for 2 miles.

Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch Last year we went to the neighborhood pumpkin patch. Their were lots of children. We went through hay mazes. we picked three pumpkins and we took them home. we caved them on Halloween day.
Living in Flower Mound I like living in Flower Mound because there are lots of good schools. we like Flower Mound or Dubble oak because there are great houses. How much do you like Flower mound or dubble oak/
My Mom's Neighborhood I grew up in ND. Pet stors were not open on sundays or christmas days. We lived where lots of snow was. We also lived where it was very cold. They would also flood neighorhood parks to create outdoor skating rinks.

Heather Pumpkin Pach On October 11,th my brother got a bigger pumpkin then me.I got a middle sized pumpkin .we got to go in to a maze .picture cut out's me and my brother did.We also got to go on ahayride .After the hayride we went home . The pumpkin's did't rot . We put the pumpkin's in the laundryroom.Then we went to go play.The pumpkin pach was a lot of fun. A few hour's later the day was over and that was a fun day.The end.
Living in Flower Mound I like Flower Mound becuose. I like the School's and theacher's.I like to learn.
My mom's community .the community I lived in when I was Heather's age was similar to Flower Mound.It was a small town called Plymouth in Michigan every year we had parades to celebrate holidays .Festivals for spcial events.And there was a lot of pride in the community . One thing that was different was the weather. We could not swim for 6 menths of the year like you can here . In the winter we built BIG snowmen, igloos, and ice skated on the street.On nice winter days we would walk to a park and sled down the hills.

Morgan Easter Egg Hunt My sister went to the Easter Egg Hunt with me. I got my face painted. My sister got her face painted too. I got to sit on the Easter egg bunnys lap. I got a lot of candy.
I Like Flower Mound becase I get to go to sonic. I get to go to six flags too. My sister went to six flags with me. I got to eat cotton candy there. I road the log ride a lot with my freind,s.
My Mom's Community My mom lived in a small town in West Texas. The town,s name was Abilene. It was not next to a big town.

Beau Grandfathers pond One year my grandfather and I went to the Rheudasil pond to fish.I cot a sick fish.I knew he was sick because he had blue spots.My granpow said he was a trout.I brought him home then he died. my grandfather was the first mayor of Flower Mound.
Living in Flower Mound I like Flower Mound because It has grait friends.Also It has grait scools.It also has very grait Mom's and Dad's.
My Dad's Community When I was Beau's age.I lived on a 4.000 acre ranch in Flower Mound.We had to rid'e a bus to our school in Lewisville because there were no schools in Flower Mound.There were only obout 2.000 people in Flower Mound.

Jordan Flower Mound Youth Fishing Derby I went to the Flower Mound fishing Derby.I did not catch anything .Kody's name got drew out of A barrel.He got A water proof tape player .He was lucky he got drawn. I collected enough money to get A tee\ shirt and A trophy .It was fun.
My Granma's Community My granma lived in the country. I live in town .She walked A mile to school. I walk a half block to school .Her school had two rooms. One for first through fourth grade .One for sixth through eighth grade .My school has many rooms .Hers didn't
My Community I like my Community because it has nice people .It has nice food to. It has good stores. It has nice things on Easter to. So come .

Easter Egg Hunt When I went to the Easter Egg Hunt I got to get on the astrojump and it was fun and after that I got to do the cake walk. I and won. I got a cake. after that I went to get my eggs from the Easter Egg Hunt but I just got a few but I did not care about it but it was fun for me.

Chris MARCUS FOOTBALL STATE CHAMPION PARADE I went to the marcus football state champion parade with one of my sisters and my other sister is a traner. when my bother came by I waved to him . After the parade they had a pepper alley.The pepper alley was my favrite .

Leslie The firestation had a grand opening this weekend on saterday we got to look in the iris which is a firehat with a camera on the side to help fireman to see in the dark and smoke . we got to see the fireman s beds and weight room. We got to go on the firetruck and we pretended to drive the trucks and it was fun . The best part was we didnt see clouns.
I Like Flower Mound becus it has lots of porks and trees it is grat and I like the ymca and I like the anmol s . I like the schools aiot. mom hurst texas was very similar to flower mound .flower mound has a lot more courtyside and trees . I think that the roads were smaller with less cars on tham.
