Flat
Lavanya flew on an airplane to Sydney, New South Wales, Australia and
visited the Sydney Opera House. The Sydney Opera House is one of the most
famous performing arts venues in the world.
According to Guinness World Records, the Sydney Harbor Bridge is the widest long-span bridge in the world and is the largest steel arch bridge with the top of the bridge standing 134 metres above the harbour. Flat Lavanya climbed one of the pylons of the bridge where she saw various images, videos and slides of the history and development of Sydney city.
In the blue mountains, Flat Lavanya rode the Zig Zag railway, the Katoomba Scenic railway, visited Jenolan caves, and the 3 sisters. Flat Lavanya listened as the tour guide told her about a mythical tale of a wizard turning 3 sisters into rocks for behaving badly…but no one will ever know if that tale is true!
Flat Lavanya saw lots of native Australian animals and plants. These included Kangaroos, Koalas, Platapus, the Waratah and many other ferns and bushes. She took a flight to Coolangatta – located in the state of Queensland on the east coast of Australia. From here she drove to the Great Barrier Reef. The Great Barrier Reef is the world's largest coral reef system, composed of roughly 3,000 individual reefs and 900 islands
