Visit this wonderful project site for some great information and activities on Lewis and Clark.

There were still a few fall leaves left on our playground for Shoeless and Bark to see.

Lots of mistletoe hangs on our trees.

Lewis and Clark gave Jefferson Peace Medals to the Native Americans.

Making Our Peace Medals

We also learned about the coins that have been made to commemorate the Lewis and Clark Expedition.  We used these on our peace medals.

Lewis and Clark met and made friends with the Native Americans they met.

We thought of questions to ask some of the staff at our school, and we gave them a peace medal as a sign of friendship.

Mrs. Baumann, our school nurse, came to visit.

We learned more about Mrs. Ownby, our school principal.

The Corps of Discovery made maps of the places they traveled.
