Flat Nicholas arrived at Oma's house in Healdsburg, California.  Unfortunately he had gotten bent in the envelope so he was immediately placed in intensive care to straighten out and recuperate.  He went to the weekly farmer's market and enjoyed California.  Then Oma sent him to visit her sister in Vienna.

Flat Nicholas saw so many beautiful sites in Vienna.  He spent Christmas there and visited a school where the children sang Silent Night in German for him.  He saw Graz the home of Arnold Schwarzenegger. He even met Arnold's Mom and enjoyed apple strudel and tea with her. 

It was cold in Austria, but he put on his special hat and vest and kept warm with Bingo.

Then Flat Nicholas went back to California and saw Tofu.

Soon though it was time to return to Dallas.  He traveled across the Golden Gate Bridge to the airport and headed back to Texas.
