One night on Christmas Eve Santa came to give me presents. I did a very nice thing for him. I gave him a present.

When he saw the present he got really happy. He just looked at it and looked at it. Santa knew I was trying to be nice. Santa smiled and said, "Merry Christmas everyone." I couldn't see him but could hear him as he read my letter.

Dear Santa,
I like you because you're special. Christmas isn't about getting presents. It's about Jesus' birthday. I'd like to visit you sometime. I always can't wait until Christmas. I love Rudolph, Dancer, Prancer, and especially you.

Santa liked what all I said. Santa gave me a model of himself.

A house is where people live.

You live from food.

Food is something you eat.

You eat with a fork.

A fork is sharp.

Sharp things can cut you.

You need a quilt.
